The Sydney Protein Group

The Sydney Protein Group is made up of protein scientists and students from academia, hospitals and industry.

We meet regularly to hear updates from local and overseas speakers on the latest developments in protein science and related fields.

Scholarships and prizes are also provided to enable young scientists to attend key protein related meetings in Australia.

Changing of the guard!
At the recent AGM of the Sydney Protein Group, long-time President Joel Mackay was finally ousted from his position and replaced by former Secretary Jacqui Matthews (USyd). Even longer-time Treasurer Bret Church stepped down and Ben Crossett (USyd) was appointed to the role. Liza Cubeddu (USyd) was appointed Secretary. Joel will cling to a committee position and remain coordinator of this web site. Welcome to the new hierarchy! [Posted 27 March, 2007]

The Sydney Protein Group is an affiliated Special Interest Group of ASBMB Inc.
